Interesting stuff. hopefully the foolish americans and their imaginery russian adversaries will not have ended the world by the time you come up with another piece.. lets fix this country so that we can live there… the west is becoming increasing mad as it fails to deal with the fact that they can rule the world forever. There blood thirst, racism and murder in wars will increase…. Home will be the safest place to live provided they dont come there to kill us with christian bombs.

In the first place, I am surprised you do not indicate the option of APM going to 2019 polls tied with SKC again for reasons known to yourself the writer. Secondly, I believe you do not know what mechanisms APM employed to identify SKC as his running mate in 2014 polls. Thirdly, Ask yourself with reference to the laws of the land if the 2014 pair is to be maintained in 2019 polls, SKC cannot constitutionally be a torch bearer for the blue league in 2024?

If this government is sinking and not performing, Chilima is part of all that mess. if he was decent enough and believes he can do better why not sacrifice his benefits and resign. i dont agree with people who glorify Chilima. He is part of all this mess. I rest my case. At least we should try MCP and let DPP to be in opposition because they are experienced crooks they will not allow MCP to steal.

Funny discussion this! A lot of questions remain unanswered. When you say that the current leader has failed, would you highlight the areas of his failings? It is scandalous to shout from the roof tops negatives that may not be substantiated. My understanding is that everyone is free to run for the presidential office as long as the constitution of the republic allows them to do so. All sound arguments about who can run for president or who cannot run for president must be premised on the constitution, not emotionalism, envy or frustration. The current State President is buoyed by… Read more »

Excellent analysis Allan Ntata. However, bear in mind that political parties are appealing to a large populace which is uneducated and incapable of depth political analysis. Your analysis assumes a middle class Malawi which it is not. educated populace comprise only 20% of the voting population leaving 80% open for abuse by gullible politicians. Until the 80% has access to effective civil education, Malawi will remain a political football for the delinquents. Most of the political parties have picked up this game and thats why you’ll never hear of political ideologies but rather rhetorical and populism messages which truly appeals… Read more »
