An excellent article that goes right to the heart of the problems of dealing with the Chinese. The Chinese do not give economic ‘aid’ freely; there is always a quid pro quo that is to the benefit of the Chinese. To date Chinese aid has done little or nothing to advance the prosperity of Malawi as a whole. The poor remain poor and the country continues lack the structures that would propel it forward. the problem is that, china’s goverment just want to give small money to poor countries to get support in UN, the china’s goverment can not really help MALAWIANS, as a chinese, i dont like it deeply. and the president go to china if the talk to goverment, he only can know how to control the army, media, people, and how to control all the contry’s resoures, but if president come to private companies, he will get really help for MALAWIANS, and can help two contrys people really love each other,😁
