Knowing dpp, the midday 7 have made a plan to go with Peter to a convention, at the general election, rig results, when Peter is president within first year persuade him to step down and agree with all Malawians that he is old. Malawians should be MORE concerned on how to CLEAN UP THEIR GOVERNMENT FROM THE THIEVES WHO INVADED IT than who would lead this rotten party in next elections.

In fact before Chilima is elevated to the top position, the entire genetic code of DPP has to change from a family dynasty type party to a party of the people by the people. I doubt if Chilima alone will be able to deal with the challenges facing the party and transform it to a modern, pro-poor peoples party. It requires a bull dog and a firebrand and its obvious that Chilima is not all that.

If Chilima happens to take over, will he be able to fire elements that give DPP a bad name. Those that are associated with vices like Corruption, Violence,Tribalism.Ben Phiri,Luois Ngalande ,Jappie Mhango etc.DPPs problems are deeper than just age of Presidential Candidate. Its about overhaul ing the whole Rotten Party.

Yes, if Chilima is to make a meaningful change should he take over the mantle he needs to fire everybody and start with a new untainted slate . Otherwise just changing leadership will be meaningless!
