Nyondo family yet to name burial place: Malawi govt cover full cost of repatriating body from SA
Malawi development worker and May 2014 National Salvation Front (Nasaf) James Nyondo who died last Friday night is likely to buried in his home village of Cheni in Chitipa district, family members have told Nyasa Times.
Apparently, it was Nyondo’s wish to be “laid to rest in his birth land,” family sources revealed.
Nyondo’s body is yet to be repatriated to Malawi from South Africa where he breathed his last at Steve Biko Hospital.
President Peter Mutharika has reportedly declared that the Government of Malawi will, through the High Commission in South Africa, cover the full costs of the repatriation of the body.
Family sources added that an undertaker has been identified, and is currently organizing necessary documentation to fly the body in to Malawi on Wednesday.
A memorial service, courtesy of CCAP Synod of Livingstonia’s Reverend Munthali was conducted at the late Nyondo’s house on Sunday. Another is expected to be conducted in Pretoria East before the repatriation of the body.

Fiskani, brother to the deceased, had told Nyasa Times earlier that the “funeral arrangements” would be announced in due course.
But date for his burial is still not yet known.
Nyondo succumbed to lung cancer and had been “in and out” of hospital, according to Fiskani.
Born in 1968, the South Africa and United States lawyer he is survived by his wife Brenda and three children.

Although I had not met him personally, he was very persuasive on TV during the Presidential debates.

This issue of his early life,personal life,career,awards was suposed to be part of his biography on wikipedia page not us asking journists to give full details of how he lived because is dead.The only issue here was to update his departed date..I usually don’t get problems with celebrities,politicians…biography of other countries as it is already on net waiting for me to google.How many Malawians embrace their talents…by letting us knw their progress in life through wikipedia… so that others can be inspired,activated,motivated,get relieved or put themselves on map so that others can see and hook them up?
