Please Ministry Of Labour Would You Come To Our Rescue Here At Shayona Cement Factory? To Say The Fact There Is No Safety At Shayona. We Dont Have PPE’s. This Accident Could Jabe Claimed Many Lives. No Safety At Shayona And The Whole Welfare Of Employees Leaves Alot To Be Desired. Imagine Someone Pocketing As Little As 12000 As His Salary. We Are Still Slaves At Shayona.

There are doors in the kilns but neglect makes employees work with doors open. And for issues of low wages, that blame should go to the government because they regulate the wages. There more accidents happening on the roads of Malawi and no one has advocated that we close these roads. There accidents in industries world over. Those that have been to South Africa will agree with me. Perhaps it is good to check the laws of our country before we can vent our frustration on Shayona Cement Factory.

Here it is indicated that those workers forgot to close some spaces which were to shut down, but in real sense there is nothing like doors to be closed in the process of making clinker. The machine is made like that with openings which must’nt be shut. The machine is some how old it just need some repair and… Read more »
