Fighting corruption is the responsibility of every citizen in Malawi and whistle blowing is the best way of reporting corrupt practices to the ACB. It encourages efficiency, helps to curtail loss of public funds and ensures reliability of financial statements as well as compliance with regulations. For example, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and Development Goodall Gondwe told Parliament that about K 80 million was abused from K 3 billion allocated to sixteen districts under Constituency Development Fund and District Development Fund.
