Silungwe is a crook and a maniac. This man has more than 100 cases against him in court for swindling people money through Karonga Polytechnic, which is a swindle. He has claimed all kinds of lies, like representing the business community in Karonga, while that was not true, he was only representing himself, and he is not a legitimate business man but a swindler. The reputable Nyasatimes should not take this man serious. Maybe a good investigative article about him would show who we are dealing with here.

Mr. Silungwe would enhance his reputation if did more home work on effluent from uranium-extracting mines. He should spend the time on the learning curve, including the curve involving the administration of the specific mining law in Malawi. Otherwise, he risks being called out by others in the know, like Mr. Walker, the Paladin Man.
Mr. Silungwe’s reputation regarding his understanding of complex issues could become problematic in future. He should just come out and admit that he made a misleading statement.

The government is a letdown to the people of Malawi in this whole episode. Have they been bought? How can they allow Kayelekera to dispose of their waste in the mainstream water ecosystem?
