Panga-wielding Bullets fans attack coach Ramadhan

After breaking into the club offices and went away with some office merchandize few days ago, another section of Bullets fans were at it again on Wednesday when they attacked and chased away their coach Nsazurwimo Ramadhan at the Kamuzu Stadium where he was drilling the team ahead of their CAF return leg against Al Hilal of Sudan this coming Sunday.

Ramadhan: Why targetting me?
Ramadhan: Why targetting me?

While confirming the development, Ramadhan describe the whole scenario as unfortunate and said he is failing to understand why the panga-wielding supporters he claim to be three in number could act in such a barbaric manner.

The coach revealed he only identified one supporter Billy One whose name was also mentioned by Bullets Head of Marketing Dan Mbebuwa few days ago that he was among the Bullets supporters who broke into Bullets offices.

He claimed that the three were shouting at him that he should go because he was brought to Bullets by deposed Chairman Kondi Msungama.

“I just thank God that they didn’t catch me otherwise it could have been something else. What I am failing to understand is why are they attacking me? They have been complaining that the club is not paying the players so do I pay players? If there are some issues whether they don’t want me they could have just come into open and say” said Ramadhan.

The coach has however called upon the police and every Malawian to protect him because his life is in danger.

He further warned to take unspecified action if Bullets will not find a solution to his problem.

“I didn’t come here [Malawi] on my own, I was called by the team and they will know how to assist me. The papers I signed have a Bullets letter head not that of an individual,” said Ramadhan who revealed he signed a 2 year contract with the club.

Bullets Technical Director Billy Tewesa said he is aware of the development.

He said he managed to confront one of the supporters who admitted they indeed took the coach to task because he missed training for two days.

Ramadhan said he missed the training because he was feeling ill.

This is a ruthless attack on Malawi football! Did they think Ramadan was going to resist if he had been asked to leave his job? These people are damaging the reputation of BB, at least in the eyes of the corporate world and peaceful soccer loving Malawians.

This is a very serious crime. Is the trainer taking the place of Ramadan a CAF licence holder as per CAF requirements?
