Good move. I just hope that Engineers will avoid the mistake made by ICAM and MAB who saw the creation of the Institute of Accountants in Malawi as an opportunity to extort membership and regulatory fees from accountants, supposedly to protect the term “Accountant”. I forsee many organisations and individuals dropping the term and instead making references to “Finance Assistant”, “Finance Executive” and other derivatives in a bid to avoid these senseless “fees”.
