When I read about pipo promoting false prophet Bushiri I shade tears with blood because these poor souls dont just know what it takes to be a national leader. Doing business of selling cursed water to blind faithfuls can not qualify one to a high moral leadership. As soon as these followers realise that they are being tricked Bushiri will fall. Pastor, you have said it all. People should avoid brutality. Brutality is synonymous to MCP. It is also said that 21 May 2019 will mark “25 years after the resumption of multiparty politics in Malawi….” The system resumed after MCP killed it. If you want multiparty to continue do not vote for MCP. If you want a decent Malawi avoid a movement full of disgruntled politicians with cases to answer. 90% of them have bail bonds in their pockets and bras. Its good to pray for this but let me say this to my fellow pentcostal and chrasmatic born again christians especially padtors.
TIME HAS COME TO OPEN THE EYES OF OUR CHURCH FOLLOWERS THE QUALITIES OF A MAN OR WOMAN TO BE A PRESIDENT, MP AND COINCILLOR.
OTHER CHURCHES HAVE NO FEAR TO ADVISE THEIR FLOCKS WHOM NOT TO VOTE OR TO VOTE FOR..PRAYERS PLUS CIVIC EDUCATION MATTERS MUCH.
Malawians, especially those living in poverty, can not identify themselves with ethical, selfless and moral leaders. The Kamuzu-type leadership which was characterised by master-servant traits, is all they know. Most Malawians are looking for another Dr Kamuzu Banda in a leader. They just don’t know any better and unfortunately its this disfranchised population that political parties are targeting. For any meaningful political change to happen the church has to be hyperactive in preaching the gospel of ethical, selfless and moral leadership not just close to general/tripartite elections but everyday and every Friday/Sat and Sunday.
