The true tragedy is that Malawi will always need to beg for aid – just as it has in the past. As long as there is no discipline and the enactment of laws which penalize destruction of the environment, these kinds of crises are destined to continue. Couple this with the failing infrastructure – lack of running water in the cities and intermittent electricity and you have a recipe for total disaster. You know i think Andrew Cole has a point. If these disasters are man made and a result of our own problem in US destroying the enviroment then when this is going to be a continual problem. People have to take responsibility for what they are doing and bare the consequences for their actions. Also is God not telling us something. Maybe he sending a warning to what will happen if we continue destroying the enviroment?

Haha. Paster, your concern is noted. However this form of relief is given directly in to the hands of the individual villager, unlike other forms which go through formal bureaucratic channels.
