Lest we FORGET it’s the Catholic church that had set the ball rolling and fueled the wheels of MULTI-PARTY movement in Malawi. And they did it right here in Malawi NOT hiding elsewhere in the comfort of the whiteman’s land.

Mr President please know that any donation or assistance to the church shouldn’t come with conditions. The church should feel free to offer advice to you if you desperately need it; this may mean being criticised. Take it on the chin and change your ways. The church always means well.
(1) So its true that your unwanted assistance was turned down by Providence Secondary School.
(2) The Priest in question is Zambian (nationality) and not too aware of the politics in Malawi. Hence, his request for roofing for a church in his Parish ( this church is just behind Ndata Farm, talk of good corporate responsibility).
My feeling is thta this gift should also be turned down, more especially after the words coming from the President’s mouth.
The Catholic church is a complete disgrace these days. It’s leaders are politicallly biased and speak as if they are not religious people. That’s why they make statements without thinking such publicly turning down a donation. The church is losing respect.

One of the weaknesses in human nature, is lack of appreciation. The very person whom you come into his rescue,is the one who speaks volume bad about yourself. Let’s accept and understand that -that’s human nature.Jesus Christ healed the blind but He never appreciated. If the Catholic castigate you, they cannot be spared as being human beings who as well luck appreciation. Mr president you have not helped an individual but you have done it to everyone under that Parish.
