I pity him if he meant kuseleula. But the reality is that many of them ia all these INGOs have a very nasty way of working, tempting people to think they are in the neo-clonialism mode. Some of us know some so called expariates who are extremely nasty in the way they conduct themselves against Malawians. I think we should be careful not to jump so quick into conclusions about every remark being uttered as a mark of racism. We should allow some room for “kuseleula” – flippant humour in our country. Racism does not dwell on lips, it is a strong feeling that can even be expressed through body language. It is a strong force of hatred that you can feel not even from mare words, but action.
