Robbers ransack Surestream Football Academy in Malawi

Unidentified robbers on Monday night ransacked Surestream Academy offices in Chilomoni Township, Blantyre where they got away withcash, two computers and two TV plasma screens.

Blantyre Police Spokesperson Elizabeth Divala and the academy’s mamanager Patricio Kulemeka confirmed the incident.

“The robbers found their way in by drilling the wall fence of the stadium and tied two guards whom they found at the premises before breaking into the offices”, said Divala.

She said other stolen items were a first aid kid and a bunch of keys.

Kulemeka said the incident was reported to Chilomoni Police which is a stone throw away from the academy.
“We have launched investigations and we are appealing to those that might have information related to the incident to report to the nearest police station”, said Divala.

Pin down those watchmen, how could not hear sounds of someone digging the wall of a fence? Let alone to be tied by the same diggers? They might have been sleeping on duty. Most of the crimes are perpetrated by insiders who know the security weaknesses of the institution.
