Silver lures Kamwendo with K9 mil to move from Wanderers

Silver Strikers have offered Be Forward Wanderers legend Joseph Kamwendo K9 million to join the Reserve Bank of Malawi sponsored side despite failing to settle signing on fees to a bulk of their players.

Kamwendo: Wanderers future into doubt.

One Silver Strikers official, who opted for aninomity told Nyasa Times that the club has already given Kamwendo K1 million to enable him travel to the capital city and that he is being lodged at Lilongwe Capital Hotel.

“There is an agreement that he will be given K8 million signing fee,”said the official.

However,Nyasa Times investigations can reveal that Kamwendo is still contracted with the Nomads after signing a two and half years contract when he returned back from Mozambique mid 2016 season.

Nyasa Times understand that the contract was worth K4 million and he received K2 million with a balance of another K2 million which he was supposed to receive end January.

The move is a proof that the Capital city giants are now feeling the hit of losing their Captain Lucky Malata to the Lali Lubani camp and its a tit for tat operation.

Meanwhile,  Wanderers officials told Nyasa that Wanderers will only let Kamwendo go if silver follow  proper procedures.

“We are not clinging to the player. All we expect is for Silver to follow proper procedures. Actually they have already breached the rules. We recruited Lucky because we needed him most. We had to wait until the expiry of his contract. They (silver) should know that we have what it takes to disturb their camp,” said a Nomads official who asked not to be named.

Wanderers fear the enterprising midfielder’s head has been turned by the opportunity to earn huge signing on fee at Silver.

The Nomads are aware Silver have made huge offers to Kamwendo  in a bid to lure him away from the Lali Lubani Road camp.

Kamwendo “wakalamba”?
That sounds funny. Roger Miller of Cameroom was about 48 when he mesmerised crowds at the USA 94 world cup.
