Malawi’s Flames on Monday started training in preparation for their last two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers against Mali at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday and Ethiopia away on Wednesday next week.

Six foreign based players namely Chimango Kayira, Zicco Mkanda, Gabadinho Mhango, Limbikani Mzava, Robin Ngalande and Harry Nyirenda have already joined camp while Joseph Kamwendo, Robert Ng’ambi and Essau Kanyenda will join the team Monday evening.

The team is training at Chiwembe Technical Centre where they are also lodging.

The Flames failed to into camp earlier due to unavailability of funds with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) threatening to pull out of the competition following government’s, Flames main sponsor, failure to provide funds for the decisive matches.

The Flames need nothing short of victory in this encounter if the team’s dreams of qualifying for the next year finals are to be realised.

Mali are second to Group B leaders Algeria on six points, Ethiopia is third while Malawi is fourth with three points.

The Flames, however, are at an advantage based on head to head comparison with Ethiopia having won 3-2 in the two sides’ first leg.

Meanwhile, the tickets for the Flames/Mali game are on sale and will only be sold in four centers namely Kamuzu Stadium, Chiwembe Technical Centre, Blantyre Youth Centre and Blantyre Steers Deboniars. Prices as follows;  Open stand: K1,000; MBC Stand: K2,500; Covered: K5,000; and VIP: K10,000
