The law clearly says one who dumps his party and joins another party in parliament yet UTM is not in parliament. Surely, the costs should be on Chonzi and colleagues

It’s registered effective 21-Sept as per the High court, so these numbskulls will have a little dance. Now you know why the UTM registration case has been finalised before this one!! Ndale, a name well befitting for Malawi politics.

A person crosses the floor when he changes from a party that sponsored them into parliament and switches to another party that at time of his or her election was also represented in Parliament. So Utm was not there during 2014 elections, how can u say the speaker cross the floor. That’s nonsense. But those crossing from pp it dpp are violet ING the law bcoz all these parties where there during election in 2014.

The speaker’s case is different. He is the head of the house hence his defection would allow the leader of UTM to abuse parliament as he did with Chidanti and the maizegate hoax. At least Msowoya must lose the speakership.
