The Speaker seems not to know what he’s talking about here. How much formal education did he really acquire? And, hasn’t he traveled to other countries, in his role as Speaker, and observed the political culture including that is expressed in the media? The hon. MP Musowa from Mulanje seems to be on right track here. If this were true, the majority party would listen to ALL MPs, and not see the oppositions as out to undermine them. The mature adult listens to criticism and uses it to improve. Democracies should do the same: whatever party they belong to, they should be working for the betterment of their people, their country.
In Malawi ruling party equals government and vice versa. The president of Malawi can even use state resources for DPP activities.
