I totally agree with observation by Panganani. This is just a facade of the banking system. Who doesn’t know that this period of the year people need extra cash for farming activities, school fees and festive season. In fact serious minded individuals planned way back in July when schools closed for long summer holiday and also for farming period (early preparation) of gardens. One doesn’t have to wait for Standard Bank and month of October to do maintenance work and plan for festive period. The move to “Start A Fresh” sounds convincing and yet faulty. First, Standardbank, has awful customer service. Probably one of the worst in the country-the reason why I closed my account six months ago. The Head of Personal and Business Banking is busy employing her friends and cannot sanction bad behavior and worst customer service in a cabal of friends.
