I am from the centre but eeeeish; the article is badly written. It happened in some organization in the region. One member state kept on complaining that there were so many heads from certain country. Emotionally an audit was called to do a head count. Loo! the country that was being accused of having too many people in the organization came third on the list. And when equity was demanded, the same people who pushed for audit started crying and complaining. IF YOU LIVE IN A GLASS HOUSE PLEASE DO NOT THROUGH STONES. Some of us really suffered working for… Read more »

The article lacks comparative information. You should have given us total civil servants then give as percentage of civil servants per region. You have listed 51 people but government has more that 300,000 employees. If we compare your figure of 51 against 300,000 then its not an issue to talk about. Give us the lists also from North, Centre and South. If you like, you can also give us a list from your tribe Tumbuka. Tribalism people do not want to have a competitor

My question: What proportion is this list compared to 28 districts against gvt positions? Produce the entire list in Malawi and then analyse it. but for sure the list is big, if we take district by district. Akuyendera pakapysa tonola

So all the heroes in Malawi were coming from the north? See how you have goofed. You have blindly done what you accuse others of. This is how God punish and expose the self styled intellegentias. Are you not the same people who are encouraging Jappie, Chiumia, Gondwe and many other Tumbukas to dump Peter’s govt? At the end you will be saying they are chopped because of being northerners. Now go to judiciary and make the list. If some of us come with the same list of people from the north in certain govt sections and departments you will… Read more »

You need to go to school and be a layer for a considerable time. Muhara was a judge, why was he removed?

You do not need an accounting qualification to be an accountant, just experience. That is why we have dunderheads stealing.

That is the argument.

Why do you people refuse to let the North Go it alone? That is what the writer is saying, you want to steal the land.

Ok some bias but the article sheds serious nepotism taking place here that is too embarrassingly obvious to even so called good lomwes. If you Peter are really the president of the whole Malawi, please do something and significantly reduce your tribesmen from top positions. There are qualified people from other tribes who can take some of the positions. If this continues, the country will break as we have seen elsewhere in Africa. As regards Wandale, he is part of the government agenda of deliberately trying to stop the north from secession. The govt wants northerners to condemn Wandale openly… Read more »

The issue that pains me most is that the Lhomwe were the last tribe to come to Malawi (1907-1937). Actually they came after the European settlers. So in reality they do not own any land, add they came as migrant workers to work on European estates. How come then that: (1) Now they have a Paramount Chief (King) when they own no land in Malawi. (2) One of their own actually claims to secede from Malawi as independent state. (3) They claim to be rulers of this country, when they even fight any war, like the Ngoni, Tumbuka, Yao? Shall… Read more »

Aliyense ndi wobwera ku Malawi kuno. Dziko la a Kafula ili… If you fight and cease land it does not mean that the land is urs. The land in the north south and central is government land.

The article has been mixed up with truth & exaggerations. But you don’t mention one side the best way is to put all in senior position so that we can compare cos there is no comparison here. As much as I don’t like nepotism but we must be realistic when it comes to other things.

What is senior? They don’t come more senior than the ones listed. He forgot President- elected because lomwes account for 35% of population.

Did Nyasa conducted conducted all-inclusive research. Apa zikukhala ngati kuti anthu a ma region ena palibe aliyense amene ali ndi senior position ku boma. This list is biased I guess. Can somebody school me please “Out of the Mutharika’s cabinet ministers, do we have any cabinet minister who comesfrom Thyolo district”. Ma CEO a ma city councils, ma DC sindikuwaona. You all Malawians are unlearned. We have eyes, and we know what we can do, We were born, raised, grown and die on Malawi soil. Im sorry I can’t trust your argument here. Kagwere uko.
