Sulom’s Tiya donates laptop to Central Region FA
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) treasurer Tiya Somba Banda has come to rescue of Central Region Football Association (CRFA) secretariat when he donated a brand new laptop to the committee which sent an SOS last month.
The committee has appealed to well wishers to help them with computer for its secretariat office.
The association, which is the only region with a lot of teams in its league, has three divisions namely Premier League, Division One and Two with total of 60 teams.
It has been using note books to keep records of players, log table and fixtures were being sent to the media and teams through text messages and they were using Internet cafe.
Presenting the laptop, Somba Banda who is also acting Sulom secretary general, said he appreciates the great contributions central region league is making to football in the country.
He noted that central region teams that are promoted into the Super League hardly drop, which is a clear indication of how good is the Chipiku central region league.
“The vision we have as a country is to professionalise the game and we can only achieve that if we run our leagues professionally. Having accurate statistics is critical in managing football therefore this laptop is a springboard towards achieving the vision as it will help them to keep all vital information of the association in it,” Somba Banda said.
General Secretary of Centra Region Football Association, Bernard Chiwiruwiru Harawa ,said he was “so grateful” for the donation.
Harawa has since called on other well wishers to help them with some office furniture to completely have a whole secretarial set up as of now it’s only the laptop which they have received from Somba Banda.
Mr.kapichi is still around i remember him coaching lilongwe boys primary school and they were unbeatable then he helped the likes of john maduka,frank mtawali,gilbert chirwa and many i wonder why he is not coaching now,thumbs up tiya…
FAM under Nyamilandu!!!!! What a joke! …and Tiya, you can afford to donate a laptop computer from that miserable monthly salary? Fishy!
so what is fam doing in this case?,so you waste your time voting for fam president yet he cant even help you?.
Mr Harawa dress properly when attending such factions, don’t distress Kafita as if we don’t teach how to dress and you are the captain on dressing, next time I see you in public factions, I will send you out from vestry, Tiya, that’s the way to go, others should emulated.
Don’t you receive affiliates fees from FAM that you even cant afford a desk? Very surprised.
