Akweni Kaliati, again, fighting for gender equity in Malawi. And she will never give up; good for her. Malawian men need to demonstrate, may be even once a week, that they are aware of the disparity between the genders, when it comes to performance of manual chores. Many men will be playing bao when the women are toiling away like modern slaves. Unacceptable. GBV will always exist in all societies. But we can improve by, for example, sensitizing boys early in primary schools. Maybe the lessons could be part of the curriculum, early in these schools. Education should promote more… Read more »

Government is committed to end gender violence, but at least let them walk long distances to fetch water from swamps and deprive them of health access facilities.
