its unfair. MPs,PSs, ministers, when wants salary increment they demand big percentage.But when it comes to teachers, nurses, soldiers and policemen 10%. Though Bingu was lebelled bad leader but on salary increment was messiah for civil servant. APM seems not to care them. In reign of APM three years now whenever government wants to increase salary they increase by 5%-10%. I dont see any reason of liking this government for civil servants. The problem in Malawi is that we hire people based on qualifications and not hardwork and competences. Minister Fabiano despite being well qualified has failed Malawians by not working hard to avert the teachers strike. Kaya Chanco nde atsekula liti?

Poor decision making is the order of APM and cronies. They had 12 months to effect the leave grants and whatever payments bit by bit to the civil servants. My Government, people are tired with old tactics. Please take note and be warned. Try something new. Civil servants are hungry and angry, they want a big increase this time around.
