Electrol reforms is the only way presidential powers can be clipped. Malawians should be able to elect a president directly and hold him to account and not via a political party (Us system vs RSA).

Wazindikila liti kuti president has too much powers, blame your constitution. MPs are there, constitutional review board is there to see and change malamulo osafunikila koma see what they are doing? For example I don’t see kuti it is good for the vice president to take over power pamene president wadwalika kuti sangathenso kupitiliza or death mmalo mwake we should conduct fresh elections within 6 months.

Giving powers to the President to fire his or her Vice President would be catastrophic as the Vice President will be forced to be a bootlikcker always fearing for his job.
I agree that the Vice President should be given Mandatory roles in the Constitution which can not be taken away

After seeing what Chilima has done I now agree that we don’t need a VP being voted into office alongside a president but rather that the president must chose who the VP should be. So Kaka you only saw a deceit in Chilima ‘s actions not Bingu’s actions towards the udf of which he killed it and now his brother is using it as a condom? The problem with us Malawians are dishonest people, when the wrong thing is done by our fathers, brothers, tribesmen or our favourite people we keep quiet and look away like there’s nothing wrong. According the information which has been on public domain is that dpp has been sidelining Chilima for far too long and disrespect him and his office forgetting that 6% of the votes dpp got in… Read more »
