Look at that picture, I am wondering. Is Mutharika a king or a president? This picture shows him as if he is a king
Chokanikoni ku DPP a Nankhumwa UTM ndiye size yanu azigogowo akuongerani political CV.
Whoever is DPP’s VP for the north could have been the right person to speak not Nankhumwa. In this case it seems like Nankhumwa is the VP for the country. With his inherited MSCE, he tries hard to make himself useful at every occasion.
my thinking is that Nankhumwa is the the minister responsible for local government, secondly as this was a government ceremony the minister was the right person and using a regional governor would be wrong as it will be representing a political party which would turn the ceremony to politics as the events that happened demonstrates. may be the idea of using the VP of the country I would agree but logically looking at their working relationship it was practically impossible. office procedure precedence it was supposed that the vp was supposed to receive his boss and obey instructions but as… Read more »
Iwe urivi seating. Mac hendes of you.
Mutharika didn’t want to overpoliticise the funeral.
The fact is the president did not speak at the ceremony and delegated nankhumwa to speak on his behalf. But listening to the speech, nankhumwa didnt speak on behalf of the president but spoke as minister of local government because there was nothing he spoke that came from the HE himself. Ndikukupepesani a president because mwaluza your best friend did those words come from the HE himself as the speaker? Make a proper analysis of nankhumwa’s speech you will agree with me that it was his own speech
that was good as he spoke as a minister not a politician. he represented the government
One turns to wonder how APM spoke alot at his own brothers funeral and too grieved to speak at this chief’s funeral who is far away and not related to him.
Kkkkkkkk
What’s was the writer’s motive here? Promoting Nankhumwa agenda and youthfullness? Koma mwadya zambiri za Nankhumwayo and infact looks someone is also busy using Nyasa Times big time to promote himself. Tikukuonanitu.
I was expecting that the columnist of this article would have given his personal analysis concerning the theatrics that unfolded at the funeral, because that was the real news. That’s what people have been commenting on. But here the writer has just wasted “paper and ink ” repeating verbatim what Nankhumwa said. There was a lot of drama at that funeral and readers were expecting that you as a “journalist” would have given your take concerning the fracas. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have been paid to spin for Nankhumwa. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if the article… Read more »
I listened to Nankhumwa’s speech and there was nothing special about it, the usual stuff that people spill out at funerals. It wasnt uplifting at all. Probably the only thing of note is the amount that has probably been paid to this story writer to big up the ordinary Mr Nankhumwa.
