The two promotions dubbed as Predict and Win and Sapota Kawawa intends to create a platform for supporters to actively engage themselves throughout the 2016 TNM Super League season.

In its third week of the season, champions start their eanerst defence campaign as they date Mighty Be Forward Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday while Civo United date Silver Strikers at Civo Stadium.

The Predict and Win gives an opportunity to supporters to predict results of the matches through SMS while Sapota Kawawa promotion, which shall be restricted to social media, will allow soccer lovers a change to participate in the promotion by posting their latest photos captured at the stadiums on TNM’s social media pages.

“As a brand we have introduced these promotions to fully engage football fans in the sport with TNM SMS service and let them participate beyond just watching the game,” said TNM’s Head of Marketing, Webster Mbekeani in a press release.

Mbekeani said a particular game will be selected each week and a message will be broadcast to subscribers for them to predict the final match result of the selected game.

“As TNM we always strive to bring new innovations that excite the soccer lovers and it is our sincere hope that fans will continue to be part of the country’s biggest soccer league actively participating in these two promotions,” Mbekeani said.

In the Predict & Win promotion, TNM will be giving out cash to lucky customers ranging from K50,000 weekly to K100,000 at the end of each month and the grand cash prize of K1.5 million shall be given away at the end of the promotion which shall coincide with the end of the league in December.

The promotion draws will be conducted on a weekly and monthly interval before the grand draw in December. To predict, subscribers are required to send SMS of their prediction to code 1515 i.e MAX 1-CIVO 1. Predictions shall close 30 minutes (2PM) before kick-off of selected game.

In the Sapota Kawa promo, participants shall simply be required to take their images as they cheer and support their respective clubs and send them to TNM’s social media handles that include; Twitter: @alwayswithyoumw, Instagram: @alwayswithyoumw and Facebook: Telekom Networks Malawi Limited.

Airtime worth K2,500 shall be awarded to each image with the most likes, most shared and most commented every week when the league in motion.

Meanwhile TNM has announced that the Predict & Win promo starts with NMC Big Bullets FC vs Be Forward Wanderers FC and Civo vs Silver FC games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The “predict and win promo” is a tricky one. What will prevent players, referees and supporters to engage in match fixing just to share K50,000, K100,000 or even the K1,500,000? It can work like this if am a player or ref and my friend predicts a 2-1 result if the game is at 1-1 or 2-0 I can deliberately let in a goal or conceed/ award a penalty and my friend will be smilling all the way to the bank and later we share the spoils.

Is this the reason why you have increased the price for 2 GB airtime data from K4,500 to K5,800 to harvest money for these promotions????

TNM invest a lot in marketing. But their services remain poor. Poor internet, poor mpamba service, poor network. Wise up
