Trickster Shamir Osman arrested : Swindle Chinese businessman MK2m  businessman

Police in Lilongwe have arrested Shamir Osman aged 41 from Mitawa village, Traditional Authority (TA) Likoswe in Chiradzulu district for stealing money amounting to MK2, 380,000 from David Cao a Chinese businessman based in Area 9 in Lilongwe.

Lilongwe Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sub Inspector Kingsley Dandaula said on the evening of August 9, 2014, Osman went to David Cao’s office and introduced himself as a Malawian businessman who assists foreigner’s to get contracts from government.

Dandaula said the suspect actually wanted Cao’s business profile so that he could assist him to get government contract from different government departments and also to introduce him to top government officials.

He said on 19th November, 2014 the suspect went back to the Chinese businessman’s office with a friend whom he claimed to work in the Office of the President and Cabinet.

“During the meeting, the suspect got a phone call and soon after the phone conversation, he told the Chinese man that he was urgently looking for Malawi kwacha equivalent to US$5,900 and the Chinese man gave Osman MK2, 380, 000,” said Dandaula.

“The US dollars were later discovered to be fake when the Chinese man wanted to use the money and he immediately informed the suspect who promised to sort out the matter but did not do anything about it,” said Dandaula.

The PRO said the Chinese man reported the matter to the Police who arrested the suspect.

He said meanwhile, the US$5,900 had been sent to the Reserve Bank of Malawi for verification.–Mana

Chinese r also damn crooks.Malawi will cry buckets with these patapata foreign investors.I hv lived with the Chinese and i know them very well.Ndi atambwali otheratu.Wina ndi uyu who has a warehouse in a residential house in area 3 selling waterpumps How can residential house be a warehouse? the same house serving as a warehouse,office and house at the same time.Does the Malawi govt allow this?

I want also to advise the Govt with their Top officials especially the Ministers. Others whose Govt owe them money are being paid using these Ministers and Very top officials closer to the President. This is another way of destroying or denting the name of President who does know that he is surrounded by crooks. Also Mr President keep distance to these what they call well wishers the Indians.
