what Simbi Phiri has done is something that needs to be put under the microscope. Helping Malawi is not a bad thing, but it depends where the help goes and the motive behind it. I would not have questioned him if his help went to the Ministry of Health or education, but to police it is questionable. Will the police arrest Simbi Phiri if he is involved in a criminal act? My sense is that he is corrupting the police so that he should be left scot-free when he is involved in any dirty business.

Why is the DPP government giving this guy free political mileage like this? This guy is MCP through to the bone. The recent loss by DPP at the hands of MCP in the Mchinji West by-elections was all engineered by non other than Simbi Phiri.
