UDF gave birth to DPP, DPP gave birth AND A now has two sons. PP as well as UTM. Up to now, DPP has shielded a number of people from being prosecuted, like how can mphwiyo case take the entire 5year mandate, just an example. For the sake of continued existence in political arena of our beloved young Atupere Muluzi he needs not to stand all alone rather has to get himself attached to a bigger n effective party apart from his own UDF. UDF is good but had been ineffective for too long giving chance to other parties so I second other people’s views

UDF’s downfall is lack of strong an visionary executive committee members. The existing members allowed the party to be run on one man decisions, they should have been able to persuade Atupele from taking certain lone decisions whch will end up destroying UDF party. The Ndangas, Stambulis, Mbewes have failed in their duties to the party but excelled in their duties to Atupele.
