Where are specilist in Malawi hospitals? What I know is when a Malawian is sent abroad to get specilist they stay there and when they come they open their own after government paying them for school. Instead of giving back they go to serve Europe. These volonters are not in Malawi for good and are not paid by Malawi government. Why do u allow Chines to work in Malawi?

I don’t like hearing someone coming all the way from overseas to say is going to volunteer in my country where we already crying for unemployment and are having alot of young people graduating every year from our universities. If these so called volunteers are taking the young people’s places of employment then how are we going to deal with the issue of high unemployment rate? These people calling themselves volunteers are just tourist touring the world some of them are spies spying on government’s secrets and our governments in Africa are in deep slumber accepting anything a pink man… Read more »
These people do not qualify to teach at our institutions please do not give them a chance maybe they should be assisting the our lectures. They do come here to get experience and decorate their cvs in USA they don’t even qualifie to be assistant lectures why do we glorify anything foreign? These are just flesh graduates no experience in life the we allow them to teach at medicine schools shame on us

This is a good support to our republic from USA. However, the one year assignment is not sufficient for these specialists to contribute to our skills building program. Please consider to extend to 2-5 year program so that a particular student cohorts learn more from them until they graduates. Consider assisting us as well in the secondary school education. We need to have a mix of teachers so that students can blend and tap knowledge and skills from foreign teachers. We had that opportunity in the Kamuzu days but now that has gone.
