Chiukepo, Bokosi to share Golden Boot Award– Super League of Malawi
The Golden Boot Award will be shared between Big Bullets veteran striker Chiukepo Msowoya and Red Lions hitman Innocent Bokosi who are tied at 14 goals apiece, Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has announced.
Bokosi has been a leading scorer until Sunday when Chiukepo scored a goal in the last game of the season against Civo United which Bullets won 3-1.
“The top goal scorer will be announced at the prize presentation ceremony,” Sulom general secretary Williams Banda said.
The strikers will now share the Mk100,000 that was put aside for the golden boot award winner.
However, Msowoya and Bokosi failed to match the record set by Moyale Barrack’s Gastin Simkonda who netted 17 goals last season.
Chiukepo however said he was glad to win the award which he last clinched in 2007 with 17 goals.

The best way to separate the tie should be to take into consideartion the number of games featured. Who ever has less games played has a better average score hence declared a winner in the gloden boot award.

100 for the top goalscorer in the Super league is a mockery. It’s just peanuts.
In other countries they look at the game time that one took to achieve that target. The one with few game time is declared the winer
It would not be wrong to give them 100 pin each someone should add the other part of it from either gate collection.
