Having established himself in the music circles as a gospel rapper, Khetwayo aka KT is working on his sophomore album titled “Anditsogoza” which he reveals he began writing two years ago.
“Anditsogoza appreciates the nature of God as a good shepherd of His children. Inspired by Psalms 23, the message behind it is that no matter who you are, we all need direction in this life.
“The best person to provide that direction is God, a true friend and honest shepherd who will never leave nor forsake anyone who puts their trust in Him”, explained Khetwayo.
In an interview, the Christian rapper indicated that ‘Anditsogoza’ is different from his debut album in a way that it brings “a more African tradition feel” to it.
The Lilongwe-based artist has since released the upcoming album’s first single titled “Mbusa Gudu”, which expounds on the topic of how God reveals Himself as a good shepherd who is concerned with our lives.
KT is planning a college tour to follow the release of ‘Anditsogoza’, with Chancellor College being the first confirmed gig. Other colleges on the lineup are The Polytechnic, Catholic University, Mzuzu University, LUANAR and DMI.
Khetwayo released his first album, “Character” in 2012, which included the hit single “Chopanda Season” featuring Lawi and KBG.
Since then he has been perfecting his art and last year he became a co-founder of Essence Records. Following the establishment of the label, he released a deluxe version of his ‘Character’ online athttp://noisetrade.com/khetwayo/character.
