The ‘See Gobe” star  is expected to jet into Blantyre through Chileka Airport at 2pm on Friday where he will be hosted by Blantyre City Mayor Noel Chalamanda and members of the Keep Blantyre clean and Green Campaign.

After visiting some flood areas in Blantyre with the Mayor, Davido is expected to arrive at HS Winehouse in the evening where he will have an unplugged session where he will sign autographs and a photo session with fans from 8-10pm.

“This will be a red carpet function where fans will have a chance to pose for pictures with Davido and he will also sign autographs. This is a must see event. Although he will not be performing but we though his fans can be close to him on this occasion,” said HS Winehouse Managing Director Rachel Mijiga in an interview.

She said there will be a fee of K5, 000 at the door for fans to attend the session.

“As usual there will be lots of goodies from HS Winehouse to its patrons on this day. But people need to know that the session with Davido is strictly two hours from 8pm to 10pm,” said Mijiga.

This is total insanity, my mayor please don’t reduce yourself to this level. He is not really somebody to be given such a reception, we never did this when Taygrin brought the award and who is he to be given a VVIP treatment? I bet with you he will sign not more than 5 autographs. We are mourning our beloved ones and we have no time for this crayz stuff.

We don’t need this, Malawi is in a State of Emergency due to death and destruction of property and infrastructure and yet an organisation with State house links feels fit to go and host party, unheard of but its Malawi, we do things the opposite way.
