A great teacher, a brave priest, a hard worker, a committed scholar, an affectionate Malawi icon. His fluent Tumbuka demonstrated how much his heart stayed in Malawi. Farewell…well done faithful Servant! We celebrate your life just after St. Patrick day.

May his soul rest in peace. Actually Father O’Malley read the pastoral letter to us in 1992 on a Sunday when he presided over Mass at one of the rooms in the ground floor of the Library. When reading that letter he was emotionally happy that at least for once the Bishops of Malawi had spoken.
