I always like what Peter’s brother, Bingu, used to say during the first term before he embarked on theft of public money ”let the work of my hands be testimony to fulfilment of promises”. So for Peter there is no point to make wayward noise along the M1. The public is a better judge on your performance. It doesn’t matter how much noise is made. What is important is whether what you are doing is impacting people’s lives positively or negatively.
