Nankhumwa donates sugar to Mayani Secondary School

Minister of Information and Tourism and Culture on Friday donated ten bails of sugar to Mayani Secondary School district in Dedza.

Speaking during the function, Nankhumwa, who is also an alumni of the school urged the students to work hard in their classes so that they can develop into successful students.

Nankhumwa who also presided over the graduation of 120 students, said he was happy to be back at his old school where he passed his MSCE in 1998.

The Minister said he will regroup with his former students and form alumni association so that they are able to assist the school.

Prior to the ceremony, Nankhumwa inspected school premises in order for him to appreciate challenges which the institution is facing.

Mayani head teacher, Kalirani Chunga, said the school needs about K3 million for renovations
