we have to be careful with the chileka – BT dual carriage road because its not too wide as expected . Better if this is looked upon now than later otherwise this road might be a haven of accidents in the near future

Very sad stories. I wish all who are injured quick recovery. By looking at the scene at Linthipe 1, I could not understand how all these vehicles overturned after the truck had blocked the road. These are the works of darkness

cyclist cling to main road like they pay motor tax and mini bus drivers still ignorant about safety first! Welcome to the land of it all! Unless we have a Mugufuli type of leadership than this is the results!

Some of these road accidents could have been avoided if the roads had been wider. Heavily used roads in Malawi need to be widened to make them at least three carriageways. Also more attention needs to be paid to road markings and signings,, especially where there are possible hazards. It is all very well to be building new roads, but they also need to be designed to cope with the traffic.
