Dwangwa outshine fellow strugglers Blantyre Utd:Malawi TNM Super League

they convincingly beat fellow strugglers and relegation zone placed Blantyre United.

Dwangwa inarguably displayed their best form which saw them scoring the opener through an Eric Kaonga’s intelligent header in the 28th
minute.

Their marksman Jack Chiona and Gracian Chinkhande scored the other two goals.

The visitors made a couple of substitution with their new catch Richard Mbulu making his debut but this yielded nothing as Dwangwa
defended jealously until the end of regulation time.

United had one of their player together with Assistant Coach Safarao Pompi  red carded for a reckless tackle on Dwangwa player and ultering of abusive words and showering insults towards the referee respectively accusing him of handling the match unprofessionally.

Blantyre United Coach Macdonald ‘Nginde’ Mtetemera attributed the loss to poor officiation in an interview with reporters after the match.

He however maintained that his mission is to help the team survive relegation.

“I have nothing much to say because I am very disappointed with todays officiation. We have lost but keep my words; the team will remain in the league”.

Mtetemera said he is still polishing up few areas and soon, the team will start registering positive results.

Despite collecting maximum points, Dwangwa are still in the relegation zone.

They have only moved a single step up from position 15 to 14 on the 16 member log table.

They now have 14 points while Blantyre United and bottom placed Chitipa United have 11 points apiece.
