Silver survives Dwangwa scare, held to a 1-1 draw: Malawi TNM Super League

Central Region and TNM Super League giants Silver Strikers on Sunday 1st October 2017 survived a Dwangwa United scare after they came from behind to force a one all draw in a match played at Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota.

Dwangwa scored their first goal in the second half through Jack Chiona and the Bankers lived it late to equalize in the second half through Matthews Sibale.

Silver remain the only unbeaten side in the 2017-18 soccer season.

They have at this far played a total of 19 games and they sit on position two with 39 points collected five behind leaders Mighty Be
Forward Wanderers.

Nyasa Big Bullets are stuck on third with38 points after collecting four points in their central region tour over the weekend.

They were held to a barren draw against Civil Sporting Club on Saturday before stunning defending champions Kamuzu Barracks with a
3-1 thumping on Sunday.

Chiukepo Msowoya scored a brace while Emmanuel Zoya scored the othe goal.

Up north, Mzuni FC beat Moyale 1-0 while Mafco were 1-0 winners over Premier Bet Wizard.

The bottom three remains unchanged with Dwangwa United on position 14 with 19 points while Blantyre United and Chitipa United remain onposition 15 and 16 with 12 and 11 points respectively.
