Thai’s Osotspa FC move still in sight – Kamwendo

Malawi national football team and Mighty Wanderers midfield star Joseph Kamwendo has expressed his belief that he will soon become Osotspa FC football player despite his move taking longer than expected to be completed.

The revitalised midfielder, who has been with the club for nearly a month now, is believed to have impressed the club and disclosed in an interview with MIJ FM sports broadcaster Williams Gondwa (that his agent has arrived to do the last touches of the move.

“I know that people might now be growing impatient because it has taken long but I think they should take their time because the deal will shortly materialize,” said Kamwendo.

Kamwendo: On trials

“I was only waiting for my agent to arrive here and he is here and I am hopeful it will be sealed,” he added.

When asked whether taking long of the move it might means the club is now starting losing their interest on him, Kamwendo said: “No it’s not like that, had it been that the team has lost its trust in me I wouldn’t have been here, the team still believes in me”

“I came here when the season was closing and at the moment the team is playing preseason games and I have also been included in the squad to play those pre-season games. My target right now is to play well during this time and then will see what will come next, “said the talented winger.

If Kamwendo deal will be finalized, he will become one of the most well paid Malawian foreign based players with the winger being rumoured to have been offered a deal worth $ 300 000 annually.
