Workers who accused the Chinese road contractor of enslavement with poor pay and conditions of work have downed their tools demanding government intervention.

Contractor China Jiangxi International together with Jiangxi Transport Limited has requested more time before commenting on the development.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Watson Maingo, requested more time before committing, saying he is not aware of the development.

Well, Govt. Minimum wage for manual labour is Mk50,000 per month. If they are labourers, there is no issue with the pay. Maybe on conditions, but I doubt they have a case there either. Kuzolowera zaulere…
