‘Anginde’ appointed assistant coach at Escom

Barely two weeks after being sacked as coach by Azam Tigers, Macdonald ‘Anginde’ Mtetemera has found another job at defending champions Escom United, Nyasa Times understands.

Escom general secretary Richard Samba told Nyasa Times that Mtetemera will deputise head coach Charles Manda and will work alongside assistant coach Aubrey Nankhuni.

He has been hired to inject flair back into the defending champions side, the official said.

Mtetemela: New job

“Having lost 3 games back to back, the executive decided to beef up the technical panel so that we can get back to winning ways,” said the official .

Mtetemera will sign a contract later this week.

“He might sign a two or three-year contract,” according to Samba.

He was fired by Tigers due to poor performance and was replaced by Leo Mpulula who has since brought them back to form winning 3 games in a row including ending Civo United’s unbeaten run in the TNM Super League on Sunday with a 1 – 0 victory.
