Malawi foreign legion arrive for Namibia tie: World Cup

A bulk of foreign-based players have arrived with six from South Africa  and two from Mozambique in readiness of  a Group-F World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, June 5 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Spotted during Friday’s morning training session were Polokwane City vastly experienced striker Esau ‘Black Mamba’ Kanyenda, Limbikani ‘Pupa’ Mzava, Atusaye ‘Atute’ Nyondo, Robin Ngalande and Robert ‘Baggio’ Ngambi and Harry Nyirenda.

From Mozambique, left back Moses ‘Luba’ Chavula and forward Chiukepo Msowoya have joined camp. Joseph ‘Shakira’ Kamwendo and James ‘Shareholder’ Sangala are yet to join squad.

From the body language, the players looked more than ready for the game, as they were trekking down from the 36-Seater Malawi National Council of Sports coaster sharing jokes.

The morale in the camp is conspicuously high.
