PP to undergo rebuilding process – Uladi
The opposition Peoples Party (PP) is in the process of rebranding and rebuilding following its electoral defeat to the DPP in May’s election..
In an interview with Nyasa Times, PP vice president and parliamentary leader Uladi Mussa said the party intend to have stock-taking exercise on what went wrong and what should be done to be successful during the next election, in 2019.

“We will also go back to our supporters in all the districts explaining to them the stand of the party after the elections.
“A lot of people are saying different things but as a party we need to tell them what we know best, what the party intends to do during these five years and our strategy for the next elections,” he said.
Although it managed to restore the donor confidence during two years it was in government, PP’s image was tainted with the so-called Cashgate scandal that led to the suspension of foreign aid to the country.
The Cashgate scheme is the biggest financial scandal in Malawi’s history, and helped push former president Joyce Banda out of power during elections in May.
