Bullets consider to pull out of CAF: Malawi champs in funding woes
In a dramatic twist turn of events Bullets FC have considered that they are considering to pull out after failing to secure funding for the continental club competition.

Bullets chairperson Kondi Msungama who disclosed last week that they were panicking over funding said they have set February 5 as deadline if no sponsor comes they way.
He told The Nation newspaper that none of the more than 10 corporate companies the club had approached has responded positively.
“We have not yet given up hope but the reality on the ground is that we have not made any headway because by now we would have concluded things such as flight bookings, which we have not as there is no money,” Msungama said.
Asked if he is prepared to take the blame should the ambitious dream fall by the way side the outspoken and ever confident Msungama said: “I do not think anyone can blame me because I have given it my best.
In a related development that could worsen Bullets woes Football Association of Malawi (FAM) said CAF has changed its rules for the competition whereby a visiting teams is supposed to meet all its expenses such as accommodation and meals.
“That is why prior to their decision to enter the tournament, we demanded a US$20,000 (K9.6 million) gurantee to meets the fines imposed by CAF in the even that they withdraw. They still insist that they will make it but we have asked them to give a commitment letter,” FAM General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said.
Bullets are supposed to play Comoros Island side Fomboni FC in the first leg on the weekend of February 13 to 15.
The return leg is expected to play played in two weeks time.
FAM president Walter Nyamilandu feared for Bullets financial woes for Bullets in the competition going by how the association has been struggling to raise money for national football team to full assignments.

What sort of ambiton without resources to help u achieve that? Ithyokeithyoke adayenda pansi mpaka ku Mulanje! Amaona kuchedwa…
Typical Malawian way of doing things. Short sightedness as usual. How can one plan to enter a tournament that is a few months away without finances hoping some well wishers will come in and assist.
KOMA A KONDI MUNAFUFUZA WHAT IT TAKES TO PARTICIPATE IN A SUCH COMPETITION ?
You can only achieve something if you have ambition, if you don’t have ambition you will remain where you are. Big up Kondi and all the good pipo on the driving seat as this was not a one decision. God is alive we will play.
BB may have erred in approaching two organisations who see themselves as rivals in business. Not long ago, there was a report in the press that TNM had agreed to bankroll BB’s CAF Champions League participation. A few days later there was another report to the effect that Airtel was considering a sponsorship deal with BB. And now all of a sudden both proposals have gone cold. BB should have dealt with one, on CAF participation and then after CAF approach the other, assuming the one who bankrolled CAF CL was not forthcoming on sponsorship.

This is stupidity at its best. No sponsor nkunmati mumpeza ndi kulowa CAF. Let the entire executive resign. Shame.
First i didn’t support the idea of Bullets rushing in to participating in the continental showpiece CAF Champions League: 1, Performance level; you don’t just join a competition for the sake of joining as taking it from Bullets performance wasn’t convincing to go with into such a competition
2, Financially: it’s not viable to do such a thing at this time where you are leaving or surviving on handouts. I think it is better to invest that small handouts and be more professional in making Bullets a very attractive brand which in turn will invite partners which in turn will make the team financially stable then we can think of joining such competitions.
Matama too much a Kondi zili ndi ayini ake izi zimafuna kuzichepesa osani ine ine. Kafusirene mzeru kwa achina Chamangwana akakuphuziseni kuupeza ndikukhala bwino ndi anthu.Mataaaaaaama too much accommodate other people’s views. Utha ngati makayani. Ndi team ya anthu Iyi osati yakunyumba Kwanu madala
Football is serious business and requires proper budgeting and forecast how on earth can you people at Bullets plan based on donations you should have atleast enough for the first game then poeple wouldve contributed the shortfall but it appears your shortfall is 100% where on earth have u ever heard a shortfall of 100%. I thought you were on recording saying you dont have idle money to pay as guarantee and u only have enought for your travels. You are shameless club executives and dont blame corporate sponsors as if they are the ones who told you to register. If FAM gets fined they should recover it back from your superleague allocations plus all monies you will receive when you win cups until you pay them back in full
Typical Malawian football administrators, they make announcement for event they haven’t budgeted for or planned for. The decision to participate should have been based on resources available not resources hoped for
this is bull shit
When you start off for war be prepared to meet casualties, hence calculate the cost before you enter the battle field.

am not a BB fan, but the news of them withdrawing is one thing I DON’Twant to hear.
Companies are afraid to help due to corruption by selfish individuals. I would love to see the team representing us, how unfortunate. Let’s hope things will work out for the better.
oooooooooh! what an end of kondie.but Walter warned you and look now. the team will not be the same come 2015/16 season.you have destroyed the fabric and trust me it Will take another decade to get a sponsor.are you not remembering b forward? matama basis!
akondi phuma..people have been asking you to review the source of the fund or how much do have at hand so that if there is need people can should contribute….koma inu mamangochedwa ndikuzipopa…..lero sizimenezi. Fote nso nawe uchepetse kulankhula lakhula iwe siwa mpira.
Taking things for granted, they thought they could play in CAF like they do in our amatuer super league. Until football becomes business in Malawi, no team can participate in CAF competition and no able thinking company can choose to sponsor a club wholeheartedly.
Its high time our football managers learnt the art of running teams professionally like business entities. Chomwe amadziwa iwo ndichakuti ma team akunja amapeza dollar pogulitsa ma jersey basi, kkkkkkkk! Archaic thinking; even in the event that that is the case, ndi player uti wa bullets amene jersey yake ingayende malonda ngati ya Ronaldo, kakakaka! Kekekeke! Kikikiki! uuuuhu! Mpira pa Nyasalande! Tizingopangapo phada apa!
LETS ENCAURAGE THESE FOLKS FOR THEIR EFFORT. THOUGH I DONT SUPPORT THEM, I WISH THEM WELL AS THEY CONTINUE SEEKING 4 THE REQUIRED RESOURCES. NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP. MULUNGU SIMUNTHU.
You don’t start executing a project when you clearly know that you haven’t assembled enough finances to complete it,that’s cheap thinking.kupeza ndalama ndikulowa mu mpikisanowo mukanayamba chani? Others warned you but you never listened.Basi zisiyeni mulipire 9 million ya penautyo.
Nde mumatukwana Walter nanga taonani izi, manyazi bwa? BB the boobies team kkkkkkkk.
i think to be realist with the current plight of our nation football is coming at the tail of aid destination hatching in mind our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters etc who have been hit by the cruel set back of floods and are in dire need of a roof over there heads, food and clothes, at least them bullets have a chance to still participate in there local leagues as opposed to these flood victims who have no option B at their disposal, to me bullets executives acting in this manner is a complete joke and a reflection of hallucination. we are a nation which is ready to put our foot on the accelerator peddle of prioritization.
GOD loves BIG BULLETS and we will participate until we win the cup. Mark my words.
Za manyazi! We should be able to foresee challenges before making a commitment! Lessons should be learnt. Wish things change for the better.
Don’t insult us Ms BB Mamagement, you earlier indicated that you would be carrying out Fund raising activities but alas we are yet to witness one. Shame on you!
Ng’ooooooo!!!!!!!! Mwagwa nayo

The Ambition was good. I pray something happens before its too late.

Kkkkkkk
BB will participate at all cost.Mark my word.
Its poor and sad on the side of BB management. For sure Kondie and your friends you are coming now. This was supposed to be done at the very first as the league was starting. With simple english “Dear Prospective Sponsor. We as BB if we happen to win the league we have an ambition of competing in the Africas Club Championship. We are looking at our budget to be plus minus K25, 000,000 but subject to confirmation”. I think Felix could have come up with a better letter than mine. But not taking the sponsors by surprise as most of us think. Dont be short sightness Kondie
Foolish team foolish technical staff how have you decide yet you don’t have sponsors you claim you are pples team where have pple gone now Bankers is the rich team that can fit to play caf kutsogoza matama bas
