Bullets in cash trap to host Al Hilal

Bullets FC’s financial woes has taken another twist as they need at least K20 million to host AL Hilal of Khartoum of Sudan including accommodating them at the four-star Protea Hotel Ryalls in the return led of CAF match scheduled for April 4.

The situation has been caused by the arrangement that Bullets made with Al Hilal in Khartoum to foot each other’s bills as it was the case with Fomboni in Club De Mheil of Comoros Islands.

Bullets General Secretary Harold Fote said the problem with the Al Hilal arrangement is that it was sealed in black and white unlike the Fomboni which was a verbal deal.

“We suggested to our counterparts to consider accommodating us in a standard hotel on the understanding the we will do the same here,” Fote said.

“But we learnt that they had booked us at a five-star hotel as per CAF requirements and we were  made to sign MOU.”

Ryalls costs $153 about K68,850 translating to K1.37 million per day and a squad of 30 they need K20 rooms.

Apart from K20 million,  Bullets also should cough  K13 million return air tickets and K10 million outstanding to other service providers Dorvic Hotel, Gold Card Executive Lodge and players outstanding allowances.

  1. Masikini mwayambanso ife ndiye tatopa nanu mwatibera kokwana kagwereni ukoooooooo za fodya …..musomvenge

  2. Next time any Malawian team wants to participate in CAF, they need to do their home work well in advance to avoid this kind of scenario. The infighting must also be done way with as it is impacting negatively on goodwill of the corporate world and the public

  3. Zako izo iwe wanyerere, olo utapanga coment yoti ena asanduke, bullets ndi bullets basi.maule woyeeeeee!!

  4. All this goes back to our total failure as a country led by a bunch of headless chickens. As opposed to our 50 years of peaceful post-independence, Sudan has for most of its years been in conflicts and civil wars. When and how do their teams train and humiliate us on pitch like that? When, where and how do they generate income to host us like they did? We are busy snoring and expect to tick in the continental fight…..Nonsense!!! 50 years of proper time and resource management should have put us somewhere far much better than our opponents economically and professionally. OUR LEADERS ARE TO BLAME!

  5. Alittle bit lie here, CAF rules say its only 25 deligation to be accomodated not 30 and Ryalls do not charge as per said! All in all its very bad for BB

  18. Comment : kwatsala kochepa mapalestina tiye nazoni. Tingokwaniritsa fixture imeneyi tiyambe kukonzekera tnm super league.

  19. Kodi bwanji simumapanga plan bwino, all the money wasted could have been invested in business and make the club commercially viable.I feel sorry for the club you are out but you have incured alot of debts for nothing CAF sipano you needed to make research before joining and am equally puzzled that you are puzzled you do not know the cost of a four star hotel but you entered into a agreement? shame solve that one

  20. Iyi yokha nde AYI.
Mwatikwana mamva ndani iwe, ujeni, Fote. Kuba kwakwanira, tulutsani zanu zamthumba mwanu. Shut up, mwayesa K20 million amatotola eti demeti.

  21. Things went sour when Muluzi came in the limelight to sponsor this team. You recall Justice mwaungulu gave guidance but some officials turned a deaf ear. He ended up stepping down. Ok the issue was. By then BB was sponsored by Total mw Ltd and they signed a 15 year contract. In the contract, they agreed to construct a stadium, have a club house but coz of easy money from Muluzi for his political mileage, the cancelled the contract with Total. Keep on reading I’m in the archives. Then came a transition when supporters eg young democrats were used to man the gates from Mvula and that was the downfall of the two giants. No accountability, hefty debts, sheriffs chasing, Bank overdrafts and bad image now made would be sponsors shun away. By now the two teams were supposed to have their own stadiums, membership base in categories club house and not allow political squabbles. Today who would give Bullets money the team has no structures, no offices, people fighting everyday, gate takings stolen by supporters total confusion

  22. Koma Neba eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee kenako mutipempha mapoto, kuti mudzaphike nokha mmemo odazadya ndi a AL HILAL ya ku Sudan, ukaziputa limba?

  23. kodi munkaziputilanji zimenezi? am a former bullets fan koma I have the strongest conviction kuti you joined CAF for prestige. that money could have been used for other purposes; improving players’ welfare, buy land for constructing stadia, invest it in a business venture. vuto lake ma sapota ndi ma tcheya man busy kudyera ndalama za pa gate. you construct houses mwa Ntopwa umu ma players languishing in poverty! there is a special place in hell for you!

  24. Neighbour, were you really ready to join CAF or it was just a wishful thinking.Silver Strikers with full sponsorship could not join the competition but you went ahead.Sitimapangira matama izi.Get funding first before joining this elite competition after all you are already out now.Kondi’s aim is to get BB players exposed to the world then make money by selling them to clubs outside the country. He could have waited to get sponsors first then join the competition. The club will be in deep financial problems becoz of bad timing. Consult first before you do anything,Kondi!!!

  25. Guys, nkhanizi mwachulutsa. Kambani imodzi timve. Otherwise with the current revelation ya mmene mukubera ndalama one would be forced to think that mukufuna musolole!! Just talk about the visitors accommodation. Ngakhale ofuna kuthandizawo azimva nkhani zonsezi?

  26. tinkakuuzani inu ndalama mulibe musakamenye caf, taonani lero ngongole zosaneneka, komaso osaiwala super league yasalanso pang’ono kuyamba nayonso ikufuna ndalama

  27. Mukati MK20m its just a 1/4 of the required.Bullets need atleast MK53m to cover up all the expenses!

Poor planning will cause Bullets to run into debt which is unfortunate indeed!

Thats planning to fail!!!!!Consult Ben Carson’s ‘THINK BIG’.
