According to Chancy Gondwe who is an interim Flames Team Manager, Coach Mtawali will not release any player apart from those who will not make it into the final squad of twenty players to be released on Saturday.

“According to the office [FAM], they are not releasing anyone except those that will not make the final squad who will be released this Saturday” said Gondwe

This will obviously not be a cause for worry to the current league leaders and defending champions Big Bullets who have contributed five players because they are not having any TNM Super League fixture this weekend.

But it will be a blow to their rivals and second placed Mighty Be Forward Wanderers who will miss the services of their four key players namely Isaac Kaliati, Mohammed Sulumba, Francis Mlimbika and goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa as they date Airborne Rangers at the Kalulu Stadium on Saturday.

Blue Eagles joins the list of casualties as they will miss the services of their captain John Banda, midfield workhorse Phillip Masiye and Mecium Mhone who has just successfully passed his trials at South African newly promoted side into the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Jomo Cosmos.

The Cops face city rivals Blue Eagles at the Silver Stadium.

Central region giants Silver strikers have however expressed concerns with the development and have promised to talk to FAM to have their players released.

They contributed three players namely Green Harawa, Lucky Malata and Tizgobere Kumwenda who has since been released after sustaining an injury.

Fisd Wizard captain Ernest Tambe has also been ruled out due to an injury why Tigers duo of Peter Cholopi and Yamikani Chester are still in camp

Mzuzu based soldiers Moyale Barracks will also miss the services of striker Deus Nkutu and goalkeeper Macdonald Harawa.

Meanwhile, Flames coach Ernest Mtawali has advised the clubs to allow the players serve the nation to make sure that the Flames win against Uganda to spice up the independence celebrations.
