No one seems to point at the elephant in the room , UNEMPLOYMENT. That is the simple reason. There are no jobs , these young girls would rather do any other job than put themselves at risk of disease and violence. These are desperate measures.

If this is true, whatever education she received was irrelevant to her needs. If education does not add value to us as participants in the modern economy, it is irrelevant. Formal education should have what insurers call ‘surrender value’ at every point because circumstances may force the termination of a child’s formal education at any time.

The issue here is unemployment. Women get sucked in or are forced into child marriages out of poverty. No jobs for their parents and subsequently them as well. Education and unemployment is the real issue the government needs to tackle .

It’s embedded in our culture. Which culture? Kkkkkkkk, a good recipe for votes for DPP and UDF. I am sure politicians of the two parties enjoy when they see and hear this.
