The late Chakufwa Chihana, AFORD founding president was never in exile. Stop spreading lies. He was right here in Malawi as a trade unionist. It’s just that the Catholic Pastoral Letter was read while he was out of the country on official duties and was probably the first brave citizen to openly support the Bishops letter and abandoned his official duties, returned to Malawi and was arrested upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport. Please stop spreading lies that Chihana was in exile. May the soul of this brave trade unionist cum-politician continue resting in peace!
