Our political system does not lend itself into the formation of meaningful political alliance, especially before a general election. It is ok to form alliances after the general election in order to strengthen parliamentary majority for the effective functioning of government or the opposition. If political alliances are formed for the sake of winning an election, we are far from realizing what brings about economic transformation in the lives of the people.
